Please check in for your tour at least 45 minutes before your tour’s departure to pick up your tour identification sticker. The sightseeing tour desk will be open on Friday, February 5 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. inside the BMO Centre at the Marketplace Registration Area and Saturday, February 6 at 7:00 a.m. inside the BMO Centre in the Hall A1 Prefunction Area.
All tours will depart from the Hall A1 Prefunction Area in the BMO Centre. Signs will help direct you to the appropriate check-in area and volunteers will be available and have signage to direct you to your sightseeing tour bus.
We suggest that all delegates participating in a Sightseeing Tour arrive in Calgary by Friday, February 5 to be on time for tour departure. If you need to change your reservation, please contact your housing bureau.
Your spot on the assigned tour will be given to a stand-by delegate if you are not at the tour departure location 30 minutes prior to your tour departure time. All tours will leave PROMPTLY at 9:00 a.m.
FOOD & DRINK: Boxed lunches will be provided at the conclusion of all tours. All vehicles will be stocked with bottled water and snacks.
DRESS CODE: All events are casual and include walking. Many will involve walking outside. Please dress warm and wear comfortable walking shoes. Tours will operate rain or shine.
PERSONAL ITEMS: Your motorcoach will be secured at every stop. You will be allowed to leave personal items on the bus if you wish not to carry them from location to location.
PLEASE BRING: Please feel free to bring cameras and cellphones and post on social media. NOTE: Some tours will ask that you silence your phones and some restrictions on flash photography may apply.
TIME SENSITIVITY: Many of the sightseeing tours include multiple sites/attractions that have been condensed from their suggested time duration. The goal is to give you an opportunity to experience some highlights of the many offerings in the city. Please be mindful of the time restrictions that your guides have set.
PLEASE KNOW: Tours are subject to change for any reason. All Tourism Calgary and their hospitality partners will communicate about any changes should they become necessary.
